Like new vines planted in wine country, it takes several years for a new hotel to be approved in downtown Napa, California. Cambria Hotel Napa Valley is the new hotel on the block. Located near Silverado Trail and Oxbow Public Market, Cambria Hotel Napa Valley is within walking distance to downtown Napa shops, restaurants, breweries and wine tasting rooms.

It’s glorious to stay in a brand new hotel – especially in the Napa Valley during winter. Everything is fresh and clean and more often than not, the northern California weather is beautiful. Such was the case during our three night stay at Cambria Hotel Napa Valley. The 4-story hotel was built in August of 2021 and features 90 sleek-looking hotel rooms and suites. With several suites, one ADA accessible, and four ADA rooms, all of the hotel rooms are pet-friendly.

The business traveler will like this Cambria hotel because you don’t have to leave the hotel if you don’t want to. We found our king parlor suite room on the fourth floor to be spacious, with plenty of places to work or relax. Like most new 3-star hotels, we saw plenty of electrical outlets and places to plug in our electronics from the work spaces and the night stands next to the king bed.

The bedding was luxurious and memory foam mattress was very comfortable. Our suite included a separate room with a 2-person sofabed. There was an in-room safe, as well as mini fridge. Additionally, there was a Keurig coffee machine in a separate area, above the mini fridge. Ice water was available downstairs by reception and each floor includeed a hydration station. Bring your refillable water bottle. Cheers to a new hotel being ecology-minded.

The bathroom featured a walk-in shower with Pure bath amenities. If you are a technology geek, you might enjoy the Bluetooth mirror in the bathroom. There’s also a 50-inch television in the bedroom.

Circling back to the above statement about not having to leave the hotel. Of course, most people visit Napa Valley for the peaceful setting in wine country. If you are in downtown Napa for business, everything you’ll need is available at the hotel. There’s a large and airy lobby that welcomes guests into the hotel. You’ll notice the hotel bar with plenty of bar stools for socializing and  Mary Elizabeth’s restaurant for breakfast, dinner and light bites.

For the outdoor afficionados, hang out on the patio by the outdoor fireplace or on a lounge chair under the twinkling white lights. There’s also an outdoor hot tub that’s available for guests to enjoy year round.
